This menu music..

Reminds me so much of Legend of Zelda!
10 points just for an awesome nostalgic feel. Also the style is great!

Allright, but

this is all really old as2 stuff, so it's kind of outdated. I'd recommend updating your scripting knowledge to as3. Also, I'm not a fan of flash-based flash-tutorials. At least when all they have is a "next" button. Your color and text choice makes the whole thing very imposing as well. If you're making tutorials make sure they are neat, arranged and it's easy to navigate back and forth between menus and pages. This might be useful to some people, I'll give you that. Otherwise, I'm sorry I just doesn't cut it for me in a web filled to the brim with tutorial material.

I see. I always try to improve my flash skills. Thank you for the constructive comment. I agree on updating to as3 but a lot of people still have issues on as2.

Well done!

This game is pretty great, well done in just three days :) It was supsenseful and not too hard, even though you got no instructions. The only major thing that bugged me was the lack of response as you move the mouse across the screen. There should be something, anything, to indicate that you can interact with an object. Also, the constant fading when you moved from screen to screen, while complementing the mood of the game very well, felt kind of unessescary and time-consuming after a while due to the amount of backtracking recquired. I enjoyed the artstyle, though I understand how some people might find it a bit boring. Being able to skip book text would also be a welcome addition.

All in all, good job in 3 days! You are probably intensely aware of the shortcomings i pointed out already, and i fully understand how you didn't have time to put in all the features you probably wanted :) Love point and click games, and this was no exception! Inspired me to maybe make something based on literary work to :D

rocking

great addicting game! a bit boring visuals but nice programming! loving the soundtrack :)

hahah fun!

Great graphics! Really fun little game! As everyone says, flip controls option would be preferable though. Awesome!

Cool, but a bit "leap of faithy"

Music is a bit too repetitive and "loud" for my tastes. cool graphics and gameplay altough i had kind of a problem detecting what was dangerous and what was beneficial. agree with TheSuperPickle. Definitely keep creating!

Intense. Gripping. Awesome.

This is just art. In a game form. GREAT original concept and gameplay. Simple, fitting visuals, chilling and awesome music. Long time since I've been so gripped by a newgrounds game! Makes me want to make games like this. OUTSTANDING.
I found myself really rooting for the character, and felt his pain as he dragged himself to the lab on the last day of work.. and found a cure! I was so glad :D The idea that you can only play it once makes it really intense and sad!

If there is one thing though; I'd wish for there to be a little more to interact with.

SPOILER ALERT:
after i found a cure, is nothing supposed to happen after I take my daughter to the park? I'd wish there'd be a more "closing" scene other than just sitting on the bench forever.

LOVED IT.

Hide mouse? Just sayin

You should definitely hide the original mouse cursor when you use the brush/line painter, cus seeing both was annoying beyond belief. Other than that, I enjoyed the graphics and look of the game, but I quickly put it away. Just wasn't that fun to me. Good effort though.

Backpack bug

Can't close the "backpack". Happened just after I clicked on the first blue-ish thingy in the tree in the first stage, and then opened the backpack (which contained a piece of meat). Now I can't close it. I might have clicked the screen outside the backpack before closing it, as the slingshot was fired. Dunno if that might have anything to do with it.
Loving the game design btw! Enjoyed part 1 very much :)

Hilarious!

Brilliant game, funny combos.
Nothing has had me this hooked in a long time. Original take on this kind of fighting game, thats for sure. Wish I understood how you make your combo system and hit detection! I you have time, please PM me and maybe teach me some stuff :) That would be wicked awesome.
BRILLIANT game!
